Flying to Atlanta

I got to the airport in good time, was dropped off and went through the ticket counter and security and got to the gate without much of a problem. The flight was delayed about 45 minutes, which always raises the anxiety level of all the passengers. I was a bit concerned because I only had a 2 hour layover in Atlanta, and cutting it short and increasing the chance the luggage wouldn't make it to the next stage.

First Class was a bit of a mis-nomer. The seats were wider, I was actually in the first row in a single seat, across the aisle from a pair. The rest of the flight was two and two. The flight was uneventful. I saw a number of interesting things in the air. I actually saw two planes in the air. One was headed in the exact opposite direction and was close enough that I could tell it was a FedEx plane. The other was just a spot in the distance.

Another interesting thing was a flower I saw on the ground. It was a combination of browns and reds. It took a while for me to realize I was looking at 5 softball fields each with their homeplate at the center. Pretty neat!
